If you have a light to medium skin tone, then pay attention because the Karora Tinted Self Tan Mist ($30) might just become your new favorite way to bronze. Today, I am reviewing the Radiant Goddess, light/medium shade. Will it be a major fail or a major must? Let’s find out.
First, let’s see what the brand promises us with this product:
- A natural golden glow.
- Long lasting color that stays for up to 7 days.
- Fades naturally like a regular tan without blotchiness.
- Easy to apply and dries quickly to a streak-free glow.
- Has no self-tanner scent.
- Formulated with Aloe, Acai Berry, Argan and coconut oil to keep the skin hydrated.
Before I applied this self-tanner, I made sure to do my usual pre-tanning ritual, which takes no time at all. I cleansed my skin, exfoliated really well, and then toweled myself off, so I was dry to the touch.
After I completed the prep work, I grabbed the self-tanner mitt that came with the bottle and spritzed 4 to 5 times (per body part) directly onto the glove. It looks pretty dark coming out of the bottle, but I like that because it helps me get a good idea of where I am applying it on my body. I applied the solution to my skin in circular motion and made sure to cover every area I wanted to tan.
Then I had to wait eight hours for it to process, so I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best. Thankfully, when I woke up, my skin looked like I had just spent a full day in Hawaii. I was impressed. There were no streaks or splotches anywhere on my skin, so either I did an amazing job applying it or it really lives up to the no streaking claims.
(Note: The tanner is on the left.)
Can I just tell you how gorgeous this self-tanner color is? It made my skin look truly bronzed and not orange in any way. It gave me an olive-toned bronze, which I love when it comes to a self-tanners because it looks natural on pretty much everyone.
As for the scent, there really wasn’t much of one. That said, I have yet to try any self-tanner that doesn’t have some sort of self-tanning scent. However, it certainly wasn’t overwhelming, and I only noticed it because I was really looking (and smelling) for it.
I applied the Karora self-tanner on a Sunday night, and it lasted four full days with the same initial color and then it began to fade. When it started to fade, it was very gradual, and I still had some color by the seventh day. I waited about eight days until the color was entirely gone to re-apply it.
This is a great option for those with light to medium skin who want a darker tan. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for those who have a darker skin tone because it won’t show up very well. And for those with very pale skin, be aware that this will make you much darker, but in a very natural way.
Now for the final verdict:
- It gives a stunning golden tan.
- No self-tanner scent.
- Zero streaking or splotches.
- Left skin feeling hydrated.
- Very long lasting results.
Honestly, the Karora Tinted Self-Tan Mist might be one of the best self-tanners I have ever tried on myself. It not only gives a gorgeous glow that lasts for days, but it also has a great price point. I expected something in the $45 to $60 range, so I was shocked when I found out that it’s only $30. Be sure to snatch it up before they raise the price!
So far in my self-tanner reviews, this is at the top of my list as a major must. I can’t see why anyone would be disappointed with this product. It’s that good! Make sure you check it out, you’ll be happily surprised.
