Just as we suspected, Pat McGrath is set to unveil her fifth makeup collection — and this time, it’s all about metallic eyes. The star makeup artist is releasing Metalmorphosis 005, a collection of four “megawatt” shades that’ll include her very first pigment, Gold 001. It’s all set to hit McGrath’s website Tuesday, November 15th at 9am PT/12pm ET; if you miss the first wave of releases, it’ll all roll out a week later on Tuesday, November 22nd at Sephora.com and in-store at seven of the beauty retailer’s locations.
In addition to reviving her debut product, McGrath will launch Silver, Bronze, and Copper powder pigments. The precious metals-inspired kit will also include Mehron mixing liquid, a new dual-ended liquid marker in black, and — wait for it — a new cream glitter shadow formula.
The cream shadow will have a hyper pigmented effect that, unlike other glitter cosmetics, will glide on easily. We’ve already gotten a taste of the metallic hues at Maison Margiela and Versace’s spring/summer 2017 runway shows, where McGrath created silver-lined eye looks:
About that jet-black liquid liner: the two tips — one squared, the other tapered — will allow beauty buffs to draw everything from bold streaks to thin, precise lines. It won’t be waterproof, so caution will be required when worn.
The single pigment kits (which will include the hue in powder and cream, the liner marker, and the mixing liquid) will be $60; the everything kit (which will include all four shades) will cost $165. The liner marker will also be available individually only only for $24.
