Sunscreen That Won't Ruin Your Makeup

Sunscreen That Won't Ruin Your Makeup

brush-on-block

As a fair-skinned person who knows better, I sometimes don't reapply sunscreen every two hours like I'm supposed to. (Don't judge me!) It's not because I forget, it's because reapplying sunscreen means that I have to re-do my makeup and that's such a pain. Come on, you know you know what I'm talking about. But I just discovered a product that's been a game-changer for me: Brush On Block ($30).

It's exactly what it sounds like. It's a SPF 30 sunscreen that comes in powder form that you just brush on. The protection comes from physical sunscreen ingredients titanium dioxide and zinc oxide and it's broad spectrum which means it protects against both UVA and UVB rays. The best part is that it's a translucent powder, so I can apply it on top of my makeup without a trace.

I still start my day with a liquid form of sunscreen though, and then I use this one on top as an extra step to protect my skin throughout the day. It's also water-resistant for up to 80 minutes, but I'm not really willing to risk a burn test that part out--I'll just stick with my liquid SPF 50 when I swim or sweat for now.

It comes in a small container with a brush attached and it fits easily inside my smallest purse. I take it with me everywhere and swipe it on every two hours if I'm outside. So basically I have zero excuses to not reapply my sunscreen now, which means you don't either.
