Why I Ditched My Favorite Makeup Brush For This Drugstore Alternative
Recently I've been in a rut with my makeup. Every day I look at the same products and I'm uninspired. So I did what so many people do in times of need: I went to Target.
The mass retailer's growing beauty department is great when you want to try new products without dropping serious cash. On this trip, I found a cruelty-free beauty tool I've wanted to try for a while: The Real Techniques Expert Face Brush ($7). I know, I can't believe I haven't tried it before either.
The Expert Face Brush has an aluminum handle and flat bottom, making it lightweight and easy to store. The synthetic bristles are densely packed and soft on the skin, allowing the brush to apply liquid products with even, streak-less coverage while powder goes on smooth without caking.
I got the brush a few weeks ago and haven't picked up my favorite Bare Minerals one since. With nearly a five-star rating on Target's website, no wonder Real Techniques' brush is a fan favorite — so you can bet I'll be trying out more of their products.
