Amazing Skincare and Beauty Products at a Discount! Dermstore Is Having An Anniversary Sale
When it comes to shopping, the only phrase I love more than “back-in-stock” is “on-sale.” Starting tomorrow (8/10) through 8/19, Dermstore is having their annual Anniversary Sale—and I couldn’t be more ready. It’s one of my favorite stores to shop for skincare, and also for the great haircare and makeup brands they carry.
Since 400+ brands will soon be up for grabs for up to 25% off, I could give you a full Excel spreadsheet of recommendations. But since the sale starts in less than 24 hours, here are a few of my recommendations that I consider must-haves:
This is by far one of my favorite over-the-counter retinols. Verso uses an exclusive form of Retinol called Retinol 8. The concentrated form of Vitamin A is 8 times more effective than a traditional retinol to promote new cell growth by boosting collagen and elasticity production. My skin looks smooth and glowy, and even though I use it almost nightly—I never experience any irritation. That’s because, in addition to Retinol 8, the oils are formulated with sunflower and canola oils to hydrate and nourish the skin while reducing inflammation that UV exposure and pollutants cause. Both of those factors speed up the aging process, which makes this 5-piece set an anti-aging must-have.
I always include some type of exfoliant in my morning skincare routine. One of my favorites is this Ready, Set, Glow Daily AHA Tonic from Ren. I love that it sloughs off any dead skin so my other skincare products can sink deeper and work better. The toner also makes my complexion brighter and a smooth base for makeup.
It can be hard to find a good natural deodorant. With that said, this version from Agent Nateur x Shiva Rose is one of the best natural deodorants I’ve tried. I apply it in the morning and it keeps me fresh all day. Instead of aluminum, the formula includes sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) as a healthier alternative to block odor and sweat. It’s also formulated with organic coconut oil and avocado and sunflower butter to keep the sensitive area healthy and rejuvenated, raw organic honey for it’s antimicrobial and antiseptic properties to kill bacteria, and lavender, eucalyptus, and rose essential oils for a beautiful, subtle scent. I sometimes skip perfume because I love the way it smells so much.
*Baking soda can irritate very sensitive skin. To be safe, it’s better to start with a natural deodorant formula that’s baking soda-free.
I can’t live without Elemis’ Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. It sits next to my bathroom sink at all times because I know it will melt all of my makeup off, even waterproof mascara. At the same time, the balm contains a unique oil blend to restore elasticity in my skin for smooth and more radiant complexion. I love that it does the job of both.
I actually use this PMD Pro tool a lot and you can see how I use it to get rid of blackheads on Mixed Makeup’s YouTube channel! For smooth skin at home, this handheld microdermabrasion device is like a vacuum that suctions off dead and dull skin while it gently exfoliates. I use it on my face and body when my skin needs a pick-me-up.
It may be a bold claim, but W3LL PEOPLE is the best natural makeup line I’ve ever used. And, guess what?! The ENTIRE brand is on sale at Dermstore. Out of all their products, my favorite is the Nudist Multi-Use Stick in Nude Rose. It can be used on the eyes, cheeks, and lips to give a subtle wash of color. The size is perfect to throw in your purse and is easy to apply on-the-go.
I don’t think I’ll ever forget to take these supplements from Hum Nutrition—that’s how good they taste. Almost like a juicy mimosa! The other perk of the gummies is they are formulated with hyaluronic acid to keep moisture locked in the skin and Vitamin C and E to repair and protect the skin from free radicals. Can all vitamins taste this good, please?
Christine Bullock isn’t only one of Mixed Makeup’s favorite yogis and wellness gurus on YouTube, she’s also the founder of Kayo, a body skincare line that uses a rich blend of botanicals and oils to enhance, rejuvenate, and protect skin. While every product is equally as good, I love the lightweight texture of the Body Beautiful Oil. It’s formulated with Coenzyme Q10 which considered one of the most vital antioxidants for our skin. It's perfect to layer on to restore moisture after a shower.
I’ve talked about this lilah b. Divine Duo Lip & Cheek product before on my personal Instagram account, but since I love it so much (and it’s on sale), I’m including it again. I use it on days when I’m not on camera to help me do my makeup in five minutes. I wear it on my lips, my cheeks, and even on my eyelids as a base color. The shade b. real gives a pretty, creamy pink flush to my skin and looks really natural.
Since becoming a mom, I’ve learned so much about breastfeeding with tips from experts, friends and family, and through my own experience. One thing you can never fully understand until you breastfeed is at what level your nipples will hurt. (Hint: It can be bad.) I was thankful to be given a few nipple creams before giving birth, I definitely needed them. This Keep Calm Nipple Balm from Mama Mio was a lifesaver many times. The mix of essential oils, shea butter, and coconut is 100% safe for pregnancy and helps soothe any nipple dryness or irritation. It can also be used as a moisturizer for lips and cuticles.
The holy grail of all blow dryers. I was gifted one a few months ago, and I almost got down on my knees to cry tears of joy. It’s safe to say the iconic Harry Josh Pro Dryer is a staple in the kits of most celebrity hair stylists. Personally? I also love it as a mom. It’s not loud so I can dry my hair late at night or early morning before a shoot and not wake up my two-year-old, Nikash. Plus, a faster drying time which means everything on chaotic mornings. I also love how this version is super lightweight, so it’s easy to travel with and won’t hurt my arms while I’m using it.
These are just a few of the products and brands that you can shop in Dermstore’s Anniversary Sale. Pour yourself a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, and treat yourself. You deserve it.
